My 1st and 2nd period continue to be strong, even with the material starting to be increasingly more challenging and thought based, and less on memorizing facts, now that we are into formation of Earth’s crust, plate-tectonics, and volcanic activity.
It makes me wonder what would happen if I switched from 1st/2nd period into 5th period, and see if I could make any sort of change or at least minor impact on the students’ performance. I think I’ll throw that idea past Mrs. Fletcher and see what she thinks.
Potentially, and hopefully, just a little push from my presence may snap some of her 5th period students out of their failing rut, and into a more productive and inspired attitude towards their science studies and Mrs. Fletcher’s class in general.
