To begin this blog post, I highlighted the first paragraph of the Meijer Gardens’ webpage and clicked “Press This”.

Under Tools in the left hand menu, click on the “Press This” link and drag it to the bookmark toolbar of your browser. If you would like to blog about something you read on the internet, you can click the “Press This” bookmark when you’re on that page. It will begin a blog post of that page.

The Gardens Experience

We encourage visitors that wish to experience Meijer Gardens to plan at least four hours and up to eight hours to enjoy all that there is to offer. Walk the outdoor nature trails and boardwalk, study world-class sculpture within the outdoor Sculpture Park, enjoy endless hours of fun with the kids in the Children’s Garden. Visit the indoor areas including a special sculpture exhibitions in the lovely indoor galleries, see the largest tropical conservatory in the state of Michigan and gaze at exquisite arid and carnivorous plants in the Arid Garden and Carnivorous Plant House. Or, consider a special concert in our outdoor terraced Amphitheater Garden, shop in the Meijer Gardens Gift Shop and relax in the Taste of the Gardens Café. Don’t miss Michigan’s Farm Garden.

We have updated your blogs to a new version of WordPress. WordPress has many handy tools for blogging. We’ve also updated the formatting so blog posts.

Features you will use often are at the top on the left column of the admin site of the blog.

Posts – That’s what this blogging thing is all about. Post often and post to other blogs. An NDeRC blog administrator (Tom or Pat) can give you access to post to other blogs as well as your own. When writing a post, select the options in the lower right corner if you would like your post to show on another blog.

Links – Add links that can be available on your blogroll in the sidebar.

Pages – Add your own page. This page does not show in the blog, but can be linked to in the sidebar. Perhaps you would like some information to always be available to your readers.

Comments – See and edit comments people post here.

More interesting features to come!
