the good OGRE
posted by: tbehrens
Travis, the REHS intern has been changing and improving the OGRE site this summer, the website used for CMS analysis. OGRE stands for On-Line Graphical ROOT Environment, and enables users to take bar graphs of data from CMS and analyze the data online. The site is very interactive, with a small (guess what) ogre in the corner, that changes clothes for different levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced and wizard). The website also has hints like “how did I get here?” on certain pages, to help you out when you have trouble navigating the site.
In addition to the new graphics Travis has been editing the HTML code on the website so users can save their sessions and return whenever they want, and creating cool effects for general use around the site. By working on this project he is making CMS data more accessible and understandable for everyone.
