Have you had a chance to check out the online analysis package for this data?  See www18.i2u2.org/elab/cosmic/home.  Muons, btw, aren&#039;t made up from anything--they are fundamental particles, like quarks, electrons, and photons. &quot;Fundamental&quot; means &quot;made up of no constituent parts&quot; (or something like that:)</description>
